T-ara members tweeted celebratory messages on Twitter today for the group’s two year anniversary. T-ara made their debut on July 29th, 2009 through MBC “Radio Star – Golden Fishery.”
The group’s leader Hyomi wrote, “Today is T-ara’s second birthday. I would love to win #1 at least for today. AJA AJA!” with a photo of her close-up shot. The group is scheduled to appear on tonight’s KBS “Music Bank.”
Ji Yeon also left a message on her Twitter saying, “Is my wink a success? I look like ‘Kko Boo Gi (Squirtle from Pokemon). Today’s our two year anniversary, so I’m going to smile.” Ji Yeon posted a photo of her smiling and one with her sending a wink.
Meanwhile, to celebrate their two year anniversary, T-ara also said they will release a Euro-Dance version of “Roly Poly” on August 2nd. “With a rhythmic dance beat, fans will get to enjoy their vacation even more,” T-ara’s management agency said of the new song release.
T-ara’s latest single “Roly Poly” has been an instant success upon its release on June 29th. On July 24th, “Roly Poly” won the “Mutizen Song” award, which is the equivalent of #1 song, on SBS “Inkigayo.” They will release their next single, “Round and Round,” on August 16th. The group is also busy preparing for their Japanese debut.
