Entertainer Boom and Singer Yoon Do Hyun have been confirmed as the joint MCs for SBS’s new audition program “Survival Audition K-Pop Star.” Yoon Do Hyun will be the main MC, with Boom assisting as his partner to ensure that the auditions are carried out in a fun and enjoyable fashion.
Boom, when asked what he felt about being chosen as the MC for “K-Pop Star” stated that “When I was 17, I participated in 12 auditions because I wanted to become a singer. More than anyone else, I understand the passion and desperation of the numerous people participating in the auditions. I want to warmly embrace them for the strong willpower they have shown in wanting to become a star.”
The production staff for “K-Pop Star” revealed that “After being discharged from military service, Boom has shown off his wit and has risen as the trendsetter in variety shows. Along with Yoon Do Hyun, as the MC for “K-Pop Star. We anticipate that he will tie in well with the participants and provide a lot of laughs and energy for the program.”
Meanwhile, SBS “K-Pop Star” is currently holding auditions around the world starting with their auditions in Argentina in May of this year. Following on from the domestic auditions that were held on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2, they are expected to hold their 2nd domestic auditions on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at the Seoul Jamshil Indoor Gym.
