SNSD’s “The Boys,” the title track of their latest album, was the third most watched video on YouTube this past week. According to YouTube’s weekly video chart, SNSD’s “The Boys” ranked #3 in the music category of “most viewed videos” for the week of October 25, ranking right behind LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” and Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe” videos. Since its release on October 19, “The Boys” has been viewed more than 15 million times worldwide (both the Korean and English versiojn combined).
After their first live performance in New York City on October 23, SNSD appeared on MTV’s “MTV News” and “MTV Iggy” for an interview, which was also shown live on the giant screen in Times Square. In Korea, SNSD ranked #1 on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” as well as various online music charts. The girls are scheduled to appear in all major music shows this weekend, including KBS “Music Bank” on Friday, MBC “Music Core” on Saturday, and SBS “Inkigayo” on Sunday.
