Question: How does it feel to be performing in the Madison Square Garden? Do you feel any inspiration from performing at such an iconic place?
Key: It was an extraordinary honor to be at the place where the Beatles had recorded their albums. There was actually a wall in the Madison Square Garden where pictures of the Beatles were posted, and just seeing that has inspired us to work harder, and hopefully some day our faces and our names will be up on the walls like that as well.
Question: f(x), is it your first time in New York, and is there any particular place you want to see or visit?
Amber: Performing-wise, this is our first time; being together for the first time in New York is amazing and experiencing the different places together is awesome.
Question: BoA, how was working with Derrick Hough on COBU 3D? Do you have any fun stories to tell us?
BoA: It was the first time that I worked with Derrick Hough. Honestly we didn’t know each other that well so it took time for us to get to know each other. After I got to know him as a person, I found that he really was a great guy, a great dancer and a great actor, so it was really fun to work with him.
Question: TVXQ, you guys are famous for having an incredible fanbase; what is your secret?
Yunho: We’re very flattered to have so many fans all over the world. I don’t think it’s just us, TVXQ, but all of the groups in SMTOWN really appreciate the fans’ love. Since this is our first time performing in Madison Square Garden, we will do our best and we hope that everyone has a great time this evening.
Question: Girls’ Generation, the teaser for your new song is on display at Times Square. Have you seen the billboard, and how do you feel about it?
Taeyeon: As soon as we arrived at the airport, we were transferred to our hotel, but we’ve actually seen the display in Times square. We were more like fans, than celebrities, looking at the displays. Just watching the billboard has inspired us to work harder.
Question: In the past, you have performed for audiences in the West Coast, but tonight you are about to perform for an entirely different audience here on the East Coast. Do you have anything special planned for the East Coast fans?
Leeteuk: Regardless of where we perform, we are always flattered to have so many fans rooting for us. Last night, when we were at the hotel, there were so many fans outside shouting and showing us a lot of love. Due to that, the fans have given us much strength, and we will be able to perform much better.
Question; Girls’ Generation, how do you foresee your success with your new album in the US market?
Tiffany: We’re just happy to take this chance and jump into not only the US market, but also markets all around the world. This album was mostly a “thank you” to all of the fans around the world for such big love and support.
Question: Is any group in SMTOWN planning on venturing into the US market after Girls’ Generation and BoA?
Tiffany: There’s nothing booked for sure, but in the future, if everyone gets the right time and opportunity, I’m sure they’re more than ready to take on the US market as well.
The press conference came to an official close after Leeteuk from Super Junior thanked all of the fans again for their support, mentioning that if the fans’ support becomes even bigger, SMTOWN would even be willing to perform in outer space!
Reporters asked SMTOWN family to pose for a serious picture and a silly picture. The serious picture!
