Recently, the Wonder Girls recorded the upcoming episode of KBS2 “Story Show: Do Dream” and shared personal thoughts and stories since their debut. This time around, the topic for the special lecture series was “Challenge Leads to New Dreams.”
Sohee shared her story about the difficulties she faced while studying English, and the new dream the language opened up for her. Initially, when the Wonder Girls crossed over to the States, she revealed that the unfamiliar culture was hard to get used to. However, now she’s used to the diverse cultures and expressed her wish to attend college in the States. When asked what she wanted to study, she replied, “Rather than acting, I want to study film productions.”
Newest member Hyelim revealed that she had gained over 5kgs (about 11 pounds) in a month to get kicked out JYP. At the tender age of 14, she moved to Korea alone to begin training, leaving both her parents behind in Hong Kong. She told, “I wanted to quit because I was so very lonely and everything around me was all very unfamiliar and strange. In order to get kicked out of the agency, I decided to gain weight. As a result, I gained 5kgs in a month.” She added, “I hated it most when my parents told me to endure it if I wanted to fulfill my dream.”
