News coming out of Korea reveals that Teen Top’s latest album was leaked prior to its release.
Teen Top was scheduled to release their second mini-album “It’s” on January 5. Reportedly at around 8:00 PM KST on January 4, within just a few hours of the album’s official release, the contents were already made available to the public through illegal sharing sites.
As of now the alleged culprit was an overseas source. Soon after the initial breach the album was posted to various personal sites and blogs, further spreading the leaked content overseas. In just ten minutes “It’s” spread like wildfire with their title track “Crazy” receiving more than 1,000 recorded hits.
A representative of Teen Top’s agency, T.O.P. Media, had this to say regarding the unfortunate mishap, “Currently we are looking into the matter. We are reviewing foreign blogs and shopping sites to try and determine the leaked media’s path.”
“It’s” was officially released through various online portals at midnight on January 5. The group’s second mini-album is a divergence from their previous “cutie boy.” noona stealing image. With the help of hit-makers Brave Sound this album has the potential to be even bigger than their previous hits. “Crazy” is an intense and addictive dance track. With the beat, melody, and infusion of English lyrics it is clear that this album will not only be popular in Korea but internationally as well. From the promo photos and music video teaser the mini-album’s appearance is more of a mature and manly image. The fresh concept shows the boys making the change into grown men.
Teen Top has started off 2012 with a strong statement in “It’s.” The mini-album has a total of six songs. There are four brand new tunes that make up the track list. In addition to the new songs there is an intro and two bonus tracks; consisting of the usual title track instrumental along with a remix. The slow R&B remix of their title song “Crazy” is an interesting and enjoyable rendition. The album is pretty solid and deserves the public’s attention.
