Following our previous coverages about the end and the possible continuation of the show in a different format, more information has been released regarding the end of KBS “1 Night 2 Days.” The show revealed the date for the last recording.
It was previously reported that the show would come to an end in February. The production team of
the show has successfully completed the recordings for January 27 and 28, which leaves one last recording in February.
1N2D’s PD Na Young Suk told the press via a phone call, “We have decided that the last recording
would be for February 10.” “1N2D” has been one of the longest running variety shows on Korean TV.
The show had its ups and downs with Kang Ho Dong, MC Mong and Kim C leaving the show. Although it faced changes in the cast, it still remained a strong force in the entertainment industry.
“1N2D” has committed to its viewers, and in return, the viewers have turned on their TV every Sunday to watch the show for the last five years. Although other variety programs vanished on KBS’ program list, “1N2D” remained.
While there hasn’t been any detailed plans about the future of the show, the “1N2D” as we know, with the current production team and cast members, is indeed expected to come to an end.
The last episode will not feature any guests and will bring closure to the five years of the show. It was a good run!
