Yesterday, three photos from the set of MBC’s “The Moon that Embraces the Sun,” starring Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In, and Jung Il Woo, were uploaded to various blogs, giving fans a sneak peek into what happens in the next episode. In the photos, King Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun) is disguised as a nobleman, ditching his royal robes for a more colorful attire. The second photo shows Hwon racing through the village, holding Wol’s (Han Ga In) hands. Wol is also dressed in a plain hanbok with bundles in both of her hands.
Yesterday, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun’s” Director of Photography, Song In Hyunk, tweeted a message that had all “Moon/Sun” fans sitting on the edge of their seats. Additionally, representatives from the drama revealed that Kim Soo Hyun’s Ikseongwan [hat] had to be custom-made for him because of his small face. Child actress Kim Yoo Jung also revealed that Kim Soo Hyun was her ideal type.
Meanwhile, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” rewrote its personal high in viewership ratings last Thursday night. It recorded 37.1% (AGB Nielsen) for its tenth episode, while its competitors SBS’s “Please Take Care of Us, Captain” and KBS’s “Wild Romance” lagged behind with 7.5% and 4.5% respectively.
MBC will air the eleventh episode of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” tomorrow night, February 8, at 9:55PM KST.
