EXO-K and EXO-M held a fan sign event on May 25 at 8 PM (KST) in Yongdeungpo, Seoul.
This fan sign event invited 100 lucky fans (50 EXO-K fans and 50 EXO-M fans) who were picked for purchasing EXO-K and EXO-M’s album some time between May 20 and May 23.
During the fan sign event, fans were able to meet all twelve members of EXO-K and EXO-M. Surprisingly, EXO-K and
EXO-M have appeared together only in a handful of shows and events. So far, they have appeared together in the China and Korea showcase concert that took place on March 31 and April 1, SBS TV‘s “Inkigayo,” Mnet‘s “M! Countdown,” and “SMTOWN World Live Tour” in Anaheim, California.
For those who are not yet aware of the meaning behind EXO-K and EXO-M, EXO is short for exoplanet which
is a term typically used to decribe a planet that exists far beyond the solar system – it is also commonly acknowledged as a place where scientists search for extraterresrial life. All this information could be put together to define EXO-M and EXO-K as groups that came from the new world. The ending letters, K and M, stand for Korea and Mandarin.
EXO-K consists of Kai, Se Hun, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, D.O. and Suho. EXO-M consists of Luhan, Chen, Kris, Tao, Xiu Min, and Lay. Both EXO-K and EXO-M debuted with “Mama” on April 8. Their debut has garnered a lot of attention mainly due to the release of both the Mandarin and Korean version of “Mama” on the same day.
