With their recent comeback, Big Bang announced a new project that will take way soon.
On June 5, BIg Bang attended the “YG X Hyundai Card Rebranding Project” and spoke about their special album, “Still Alive” as well as some of some new collaborative plans between YG Entertainment and Hyundai Card.
G-Dragon stated, “Since we all have many ambitions, this special album contains ideas and viewpoints of each member. The album and the music video were produced with blockbuster status quality. It was a good experience,” and “We are planning to show you many different performances and stage attire.”
Although Big Bang announced that they will not partake in any local promotion activities for this album, fans will have a chance to meet with the group through an event called the “Rebranding Project.” Hyundai Card has expressed Big Bang’s musical growth and concerns through a new logo, BI (Brand Identity), album jacket and music video. Hyundai Card has also produced a guidebook for Big Bang’s brand.
A new musical project called the “Re-Monster” will also be launched. This is where many different musicians will re-interpret and cover Big Bang’s new track, “Monster” in their own style and introduce it to “Hyundai Card MUSIC.” Several of these selected remakes of “Monster” will be packaged into an album for official sales.
G-Dragon shared, “We hope many indie bands will participate,” and “Not only indie musicians but we heard that many musicians of other genres have participated in this project so we are very excited.”
The musician with most popular “Re-Monster” track will perform at a “Hyundai Card MUSIC” pop-up store on June 8 as well as release a digital single.
Meanwhile, Big Bang recently released a new special album on June 3. 5 out of the 9 tracks were new and their title track “Monster” has been sweeping various music charts as the number 1 spot.
