Lee Michelle, one of the final contestants from SBS “K-Pop Star” that was recently recruited by YG Entertainment, is reported to be in danger of parting ways with the giant agency due to personal differences.
According to Sports Chosun, multiple sources were quoted as saying, “Tension between Lee Michelle and YG Entertainment has been growing. It’s hard to explain the details yet, but we heard she’s not going to YG anymore due to personal differences.”
YG Entertainment, in response, told Sports Chosun, “We can’t address the issue at this point prior to her debut, but we hope that you keep paying attention and care for us.”
Lee Michelle was one of the most popular contestants from SBS “K-Pop Star” for her powerful vocals and soulful style. Her half-African American, half-Korean identity has given her more attention, and she was signed by YG Entertainment after the show’s end. She is planning to debut under Su Pearls, alongside some of the other “K-Pop Star” contestants, but with today’s report, it’s hard to say for sure what’s going to happen with her career.
