It is with regret to report that comedian Ham Hyo Joo has recently passed away.
The funeral was held on June 10 at a catholic university hospital in Banpo-dong, Seoul. Comedian Uhm Yong Su, Ko Myung Hwan, Sohn Hun Su, Jung Sung Ho, Oh Jung Tae, Hwang Jye Sung among others attended the funeral.
The late Ham Hyo Joo was at a company dinner with other comedians on June 7, which finished early the following morning. She was crossing the street to grab a taxi on the other side around 4am when she got hit. After the accident, she was immediately rushed to the hospital, but passed away.
Born in 1984, she majored in Theatre and Acting at Seoul Art University and later made her debut in 2005 through MBC’s comedy program “If You Laugh, Luck Will Come.” Ham Hyo Joo later took part in other MBC comedy programs, “Gag-Ya,” “Laugh and Laugh Again,” and “Falling into Comedy.”
