Han Kyung, or Han Geng, famously known as an ex-member of Super Junior, was officially cast in the next installment of the “Transformers” franchise.
On July 14, Michael Bay, director of the past three “Transformers” films, posted the news on his official website. “He’s one of Asia’s top stars in the worlds of music, television and movies, and has become one of the most influential entertainers in China,” he wrote. “Welcome Han Geng to the cast of Transformers 4.”
He didn’t specify which role Han Kyung would be acting, but the site was flooded with congratulatory messages from his fans.
The fourth film is set to have a new set of characters played by fresh faces: Li Bingbing, Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, and Nicola Peltz.
“Transformers 4” will be released in theaters on June 27, 2014.
