There have been many celebrity marriages lately, including Lee Byung Hun – Lee Min Jung, Ji Sung – Lee Bo Young, and Lee Hyori – Lee Sang Soon, and it’s time to add another couple to the growing list: singer Jung In and singer/guitarist Jo Jung Chi.
A close associate of the couple told Star News on November 6, “The two have formally met with each others’ parents and gotten permission to just register for marriage without a wedding ceremony. They are planning on registering by the end of this month, and will start living in their newlywed home that they prepared not too long ago.”
Prior to their marriage registration, the couple will be arranging a formal meeting between their two parents. For their honeymoon, they will be waiting a bit, as Jo Jung Chi has a radio schedule to meet.
The friend revealed, “Both of them felt a pressure with the traditional formalities and ceremonies, so they asked their parents for their blessing to skip the wedding. As the two of them have been seeing each other for a while, both parents readily agreed to forego the ceremony.”
Bride Jung In had also revealed these plans for marriage on November 5, during her appearance on KBS’s music program, “Yoo Hui Yeol’s Sketchbook.” Instead of a wedding ceremony, she said that they would just be having a family get-together.
Jung In and Jo Jung Chi have been together for 11 years now, and recently received a lot of love for their stint on MBC’s “We Got Married” variety program.
