From the channel that brought you the “Reply” series and “Grandpas Over Flowers,” tvN has announced its next project, which is to be about multicultural families.
According to broadcast insiders on November 12, tvN’s director Lee Myung Han has planned a new show to air, called, “Project Experiencing My Mother’s Country – Cock-a-doodle-doo Classroom” (working title).
“Cock-a-doodle-doo Classroom” is about five children from multicultural families and two “uncles” leaving on a trip together. The children will have to be separated from their parents and travel to their mothers’ home countries. The “uncles” have been cast as actor Kim Min Joon and BEAST‘s Lee Ki Kwang.
Kim Min Joon recently elevated his presence through the MBC variety show, “I Live Alone” and Lee Ki Kwang is known to be skilled as a variety show participant among the idols.
Through televising this experience, the staff aim to break down the prejudice toward multicultural families and show that families like these are just like everyone else.
The first country to be visited is Vietnam and the staff and cast will leave on November 19. “Cock-a-doodle-doo Classroom” is set to air late next month.
