Despite it being her first time ever acting, Tiny-G‘s Do Hee is currently receiving a lot of love for her natural acting skills and her ear-catching saturi (dialect) in “Reply 1994.”
Do Hee is currently playing the role of Jo Yoon Jin, a college boarding student from Yeosu of the South Jeolla Province, who is head-over-heels for her idol, Seo Taiji.
Do Hee, who debuted in 2012 with the girl group Tiny-G, has made her first attempt as an “acting-dol” through “Reply 1994.” For her first attempt, Do Hee is working with actors with a packed resume and a lot of acting experience such as Go Ara, Jung Woo, Yoo Yeon Seok, Kim Sung Kyun and Son Ho Joon. However, viewers have been viewing Do Hee’s acting favorably even when she is among the other skilled actors.
Do Hee perfectly portrays Yoon Jin, a petite girl with a strong attitude, a passion for Seo Taiji and a smart mouth that spits out the tasteful Jeolla saturi to her friends. Viewers have been raving her unique yet realistic portrayal of Yoon Jin, saying that her character helps the drama to stay interesting.
Jung Eun Ji was also loved for her fantastic portrayal of Sung Shi Won, a die-hard H.O.T fan with a strong personality and Busan saturi. After “Reply 1997,” Jung Eun Ji went on to star in big-name productions such as “That Winter, the Wind Blows” along with Kim Bum, Jo In Sung and Song Hye Gyo.
“Reply 1994” most recently aired its eighth episode out of the 20 and many are excited to see what else Do Hee can bring to the drama.
What do you think? Will Do Hee be the next Jung Eun Ji?
