It seemed like only yesterday that actor Lee Jun Ki finally got discharged from national service and most recently starred in the interesting if somewhat under performing MBC drama “Two Weeks.” But that’s all in the past now, it’s time to look towards the future and in Lee Jun Ki’s case, his future might be going hand in hand with a new agency if a new exclusive report from news media outlet “Sports Donga” is to be believed.
An exclusive report by “Sports Donga” has revealed that actor Lee Jun Ki will soon be a free agent and is actively looking for a new agency. According to their sources, Lee Jun Ki’s contract with his previous agency, IMX, will end in February of next year. This is corroborated by a report published by news media outlet “Star Daily News” that got in contact with IMX, who revealed that “Lee Jun Ki is contracted till Spring of next year.”
According to Sports Donga’s sources, there has been a lot of fevered interest from other agencies to try and sign on the prestigious star. One of their sources states that the reason behind this fevered interest is because “Lee Jun Ki has a lot of popularity with international fans, while being an actor that is also capable of singing and stunts” and that Lee Jun Ki is currently high on the attention list within the entertainment industry.
It appears however that there is already an agency that is being mentioned as being highly likely to sign the soon to be released star and that is JYJ’s agency, C-Jes Entertainment. According to an exclusive report from news media outlet “Star Today,” they state that sources have told them that “C-Jes Entertainment is actively going to try and sign Lee Jun Ki.” The report also states that 3~4 newly established agency are likely to try and sign on the star as well.
However the report also states that most agencies are going to have difficulties trying to sign on the popular star due to the cost involved. Star Today’s sources claim that Lee Jun Ki is currently worth at minimum approximately USD$470,000 and could fetch as much as USD$944,000, a substantial amount of money for any agency.
Lee Jun Ki is also currently on the look out for his next work after his last role in MBC’s “Two Weeks.” He has also recently rejected calls to join the cast of the new look “1 Night, 2 Days.”
A rep from C-JeS Entertainment stated to Star News that the rumors going around that they are trying to sign Lee Jun Ki are untrue.
