With “Nunas Over Flowers” all wrapped up, PD Na Young Suk looks ready to dive right into his next adventure. Where will he be headed next? … Spain.
According to multiple broadcasting insiders, tvN’s highly popular variety program “Grandpas Over Flowers” has decided on Spain as the third season’s travel destination.
One source revealed, “A team set off for Spain in mid-January to look for shooting locations. After the team returns from their survey, they’ll begin making more specific travel plans. The cast are expected to leave for Spain at the end of January or early February if all goes according to plan.”
Unfortunately, news of the travel destination leaked to the media before PD Na Young Suk had to chance to reveal the destination to the cast. He expressed his disappointment, saying, “We haven’t even delivered the news to the cast, so it’s a pity that they had to find out this way.”
He confirmed that Spain as the next travel destination. “Spain is indeed where we will be going for the trip. The preliminary survey was finished last week. I wanted to be the first to inform the grandpas about the destination, but regrettably was not able to do so.”
According to the official tvN press release, “The third destination has been confirmed to be Spain. Spain is a part of Europe but it has exotic scenery and plenty to see. Furthermore, we judged it as a suitable destination for the grandpas because the climate isn’t very cold. The ‘Grandpas’ team will meet with the cast shortly and we expect to leave for filming in early February.”
Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung and Baek Il Sub and their “baggage boy” Lee Seo Jin visited France and Switzerland for Season 1, and Taiwan in Season 2. They will return for Season 3 of “Grandpas Over Flowers,” which is likely to air in March.
