Jang Nara performed at the closing ceremony of “Thermometer of Love” at Gwanghwamun Square on February 6.
The “Thermometer of Love” refers to a thermometer board which shows the temperature of love. The reading rises one degree for every 1 percent of its target donations met. The thermometer has been standing at Gwanghwamun Square since November 11, and finally met its target on January 13. Community Chest of Korea, the charity organization behind the project, said that the year-end project amassed a record level in donations.
Jang Nara was appointed the publicity ambassador of “Temperature of Love” last year, and participated in the project’s “Sharing Campaign” advertisement and “Sharing Song.” Despite being busy shuttling back and forth between China and Korea, Jang Nara accepted the invitation to perform at the closing ceremony without hesitation. She performed her digital single, “Love,” a remake of the original hit by trot singer Na Hoon Ah.
She revealed her feelings about performing at the event. “Even though times are hard, there are still those who lent a hand to make this possible. I’m glad that there is still warmth in our society. Through this opportunity, I was once again able to feel the joy of sharing. I will do my best to take part in charity work and carry out my duties as the publicity ambassador of ‘Temperature of Love.’”
Her agency Narajjang.com stated, “Jang Nara has been participating in charity events since she debuted. She was able to receive the honor of being appointed as publicity ambassador of ‘Temperature of Love’ because of her contributions. Jang Nara has a lot of interest in contributing her talent to charity. She will continue to do so in future in between her acting and singing activities.”
