Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae will be working together again for the first time in 8 years in the new MBC drama “Hotel King.” The last time they worked together was in the 2005 drama “My Girl.” This is also the first time back at MBC in awhile for both actors. For Lee Dong Wook, it’s his first drama with MBC since 2008, when he starred in “La Dolce Vita,” and for Lee Da Hae, it is her first comeback with MBC in three years, since 2011’s “Miss Ripley.”
In “Hotel King,” Lee Dong Wook plays Cha Jae Wan, the manager of Hotel Ciel. Cha Jae Won is called the “hotel monster,” a cold-hearted manager who doesn’t show emotion, but carries with him a pain-filled past. Playing Amone, the only daughter of Hotel Ciel’s CEO and the heiress to the company, is Lee Da Hae. While she grew up a sheltered princess, Amone does everything she can to save the hotel, which falls under danger.
“Hotel King” is the love story between Amone, the heiress to the hotel, and Cha Jae Wan, who becomes an enemy to the father that abandoned him and his mother.
Also starring in “Hotel King” are the idols N (VIXX) and Yewon (Jewelry). Both idols play employees at the hotel, N a mood maker with a fun personality, and Yewon an employee who dreams of meeting someone rich and escaping her bland life.
The first episode will air on March 29, after the end of “Golden Rainbow.”
