Previously it was revealed the actors Yoo Ah In and Choi Jin Hyuk, and Super Junior‘s Sungmin were selected after auditions as part of the final group of candidates up to serve in the police corps as a conscripted policeman in the 47th Seoul Police Special Promotional Unit.
Some results of the final selection after physical and other examinations were revealed today, which showed that Choi Jin Hyuk passed. While this means he will be serving as a conscripted policeman for his mandatory military service, his enlistment date has not been decided yet. According to his agency, Choi Jin Hyuk plans to do one or two acting projects before he enlists.
SM Entertainment stated to various local news outlets that Sungmin is still waiting for the final results.
As for Yoo Ah In, while at first it was reported that the actor failed the final round of examinations, it has been clarified by his agency that he decided not to take those examinations in the first place. Yoo Ah In was “stressed and worried” over the recent controversy regarding celebrities in the military and decided to give up the possible position as a conscripted policeman. His agency did not elaborate on Yoo Ah In’s other plans for enlistment.
Yoo Ah In is currently busy filming his new drama, “Secret Love Affair,” which premieres today. Choi Jin Hyuk is also busy filming his cable drama hit, “Emergency Couple.” Sungmin is active as a musical actor.
