tvN‘s new rom-com “High School King” has confirmed their cast and announced that it will go into productions soon. Seo In Guk will play Lee Min Seok, a high school hockey star who somehow ends up substituting his older brother as a planning department manager at an IT company. His love interest, Jung Soo Young, will be played by Lee Ha Na. Seo In Guk is expected to play two different characters in the drama, as he will also have the role of his character’s older brother Lee Hyung Seok.
The rom-com-must love triangle will be complete with Lee Soo Hyuk as Yoo Jin Woo.
The drama boasts a dynamic supporting cast. Lee Yeol Eum plays Jung Yoo Ah, who is Soo Young’s (Lee Ha Na) sister and also happens to have a crush on Min Seok (Seo In Guk). Oh Kwang Rok has been cast as Min Seok’s father, while Han Jin Hee will be in the part of Yoo Jin Woo’s father.
Actors Choi Phillip and Chun Yi Seul are also cast as employees of the IT company. Choi Phillip will be playing the role of trouble maker Park Heung Bae, and Chun Yi Seul’s character Yoon Do Ji will be a shopaholic klutz.
Newbie actors Kang Ki Young and Lee Tae Hwan will play the roles of Min Seok’s high school friends.
“High School King” will start airing in June, following “Witch’s Romance.”
