Fashion and lifestyle magazine InStyle has released pictures from a recent photo shoot with actress Im Ji Yeon. The star of movies such as “When September Ends” was giving an interview ahead of the release of her latest project, “Obsessed,” which was released earlier this month.
The film is currently screening in Korean movie theaters, and also stars Song Seung Heon and Jo Yeo Jung. It tells the tale of a passionate and illicit love affair which takes place on a military base during the Vietnam war.
Im Ji Yeon’s role in “Obsessed” has been compared to that of Tang Wei, the Chinese actress who rose to fame when she starred in the steamy Chinese thriller “Lust, Caution,” released in 2007. Some critics are even calling Im Ji Yeon “the second Tang Wei.” The actress told the magazine that she felt flattered by the comparison. She said, “It is a great honor to be compared to such a good actress and to have been given this nickname. I hope that people will one day call me ‘the chameleon’ because of the wide range of my acting skills.”
The full interview and photo spread will be included in the June edition of InStyle magazine.
