Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun talked about his new leading role in the musical “Singing in the Rain” and being a Super Junior member in an interview and pictorial for W Korea Magazine.
For the pictorial, Kyuhyun kept things simple and subdued with minimal makeup and comfortable pastel clothes. For his interview, however, he went into detail about what it’s like being in a musical and being a Super Junior member. He spoke about the difference between the two and what he liked about them. “During concerts I can just play and act as myself in front of my fans, but I also like not being myself and acting as a character in a musical.”
Kyuhyun also talked about his emotional side when he talked about how he cried during the opening scene of “Singing in the Rain.” “For other musicals I prepared for a month and a half, but this one I practiced for three months. I thought, the three months was to prepare me for this very moment.”
The interview also showed how much Kyuhyun apreciated being a Super Junior member and his hopes for the future. “I have been able to experience things I couldn’t have even imagined. I’ve been able to hold concerts on a huge stage overseas, have very passionate fans, and have precious memories.I have dreams for the future of doing my own music while still being a part of Super Junior.”
