BIGBANG continuously proves their popularity in Japan and becomes the first foreign artist to hold five dome concerts for two consecutive years.
After embarking on their first dome tour wherein BIGBANG performed in six of Japan’s domes including Seibu Dome, Kyocera Dome, Yahoo! Fukuoka Dome, Nagoya Dome, Tokyo Dome, and Sapporo Dome for “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2013-2014” from November last year to January this year, the group is ready to conquer Japan once more with “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014″ which kickstarts this November.
The 5-stop “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014” will begin in Nagoya Dome on November 15 and 16 followed by Osaka Kyocera Dome on November 20-23, Fukuoka Yahoo! Dome on December 6-7, Sapporo Dome on December 20, and Tokyo Dome on December 26-27.
Last year, the group gathered a total of 771,000 fans in their 16-show dome tour and this year, they’re eyeing a total of 536,000 fans who will come to their 11-show concert in the five domes.
With BIGBANG becoming the first foreign artist to hold five dome tours in Japan for two consecutive years, the upcoming dome tour holds a deeper meaning for the group. BIGBANG leader G-Dragon said about the group’s anticipation for their upcoming tour, “All the members are anticipating this year’s Japan dome tour because we can meet all our fans. We’re preparing hard to show even more powerful stages than last year. We hope everyone joins us in making the dome the world’s hottest place by the end of this year.”
Currently, some BIGBANG members are having active promotion in Japan with Daesung having recently wrapped up his first solo concert, “D-Lite DLive 2014 in Japan — D’slove,” a 15-show concert in eight cities for his new album, “D’s Love.” Taeyang, on the other hand, will have his Japan solo debut on August 13 and begin his first solo tour as well on August 12. He will hold 13 shows in a total of six cities and is expected to gather a total of 70,000 fans.
