Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung recently had her first filming for her new drama, “My Spring Day.” On August 27, MBC revealed her interview. The filming took place on August 19 in a marketplace in Gyeonggi-do Suwon. Wearing a casual outfit Sooyoung showed her signature energy on the set.
In her interview Sooyoung revealed her post-filming thoughts, “Hello my name is Choi Sooyoung and I play the role of Lee Bomi (her name literally means “spring”) on ‘My Spring Day.’ I couldn’t sleep last night and I was nervous as I came out of the house this morning. When I actually got here the staff members were so nice and the atmosphere on the set was good, which I think helped me get through the first filming without any big problems.”
She added, “‘My Spring Day’ may have some heavy topics but it’s also bright and pleasant with the ability to move the audience’s emotions and warm their hearts. I hope you all tune in.”
Meanwhile, “My Spring Day” will be a human melodrama about the “cellular memory” phenomenon, where the inheritor of an organ takes on the personality or habits of his or her donator. A woman who had been living with a limited time gets another chance at a new life with a heart transplant. She finds the husband and children of the woman who donated her heart, and her heart eventually leads her to fall in love.
In the drama Lee Bomi, portrayed by Sooyoung, is a clinical dietician that does her best to live a full and happy life with the thoughts that she is living someone else’s life in their place. The drama is garnering much attention because Sooyoung’s romantic love interest will be actor Kam Woo Sung, who is 20 years older than Sooyoung.
“My Spring Day” will take the place of “Fated to Love You” in the Wednesday-Thursday slot and will air its first episode this coming September 10 on MBC. It will star Sooyoung, Kam Woo Sung, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Jang Shin Young among others.
Anyone planning on tuning in?
