Stills from the new MBC drama “Kill Me Heal Me” feature the series’ two main characters, played by Hwang Jung Eum and Ji Sung.  In the drama, a bitter-sweet romance develops when psychiatrist Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum) begins treating third generation chaebol Cha Do Hyun(Ji Sung) for his multiple personality disorder.

The stills, released December 30, show the electrifying beginning of the romance, with Hwang Jung Eum giving first aid to an injured Ji Sung. Their intense eye contact and Ji Sung’s sudden grabbing of Hwang Jung Eum’s hand hint at a budding romance that the show will portray. The images also show the chemistry between the two actors, carried over from their previous experience acting as a couple on the 2013 drama “Secret Love.”

Sources say that the two were so invested in filming that they gave up free time to focus on their characters, discussing the script every chance they had. They even proposed re-filming scenes that the director had OK’d, and their detailed acting and devotion to each scene was admired by the filming staff. Regarding the two actors’ performances, Pan Entertainment released a statement saying, “The combination of Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum is perfect and the pair’s chemistry will make the show very entertaining.”

“Kill Me Heal Me” will debut January 7 at 10 p.m. KST.
