Girl group Girls’ Generation’s Sunny mentioned her uncle, Lee Soo Man, on her radio show. Lee Soo Man is the founder, chairman, and producer of S.M. Entertainment, which Girls’ Generation is active under. Sunny is well-known for being his niece.
During the January 1 broadcast of “Sunny’s FM Date,” Sunny said unexpectedly, “I’m not sure if I can say something like this, but S.M.’s Lee Soo Man was listening to the radio and just said to me, ‘Why aren’t you playing any S.M. songs?'”
Sunny broke out, “Uncle! Just now, we played ‘Into the New World!'” She then gathered herself and continued shyly, “Teacher Lee Soo Man, thank you for listening. I’m blushing. I’m a bit taken aback, but we did play Girls’ Generation’s ‘Into the New World’ just now,” and then continued on with the broadcast.
