Singer Bobby Kim is being charged for causing a disturbance in an airplane headed to the U.S. and sexually assaulting a flight attendant.
The Incheon International Airport Police revealed on February 17 that Bobby Kim has been booked on charges of violating aviation security and indecent assault.
The case first started on January 7, after he shouted in a drunk frenzy on a Korean Air airplane headed to San Francisco and hugged the waist of a flight attendant.
On February 17, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., he received police investigation as the suspect.
“Though I raised the issue of being issued the wrong ticket, nothing could be changed so I had to sleep in an economy seat. I drank six glasses of wine to fall asleep,” he told the police. “I made a racket after I was drunk, and there was some physical contact while I tried to ask for the flight attendant’s number,” he said, partially admitting to his crime.
However, he added on, “I don’t remember much in detail because I was drunk.”
Bobby Kim will soon be called to the prosecutors’ office for overview of prosecution without detention.
