The casting news was confirmed by Go Se Joon PD on March 30. According to the producer, they are currently looking to cast three more actresses for the show, and are in the midst of negotiations with candidates.
“Lady Action” will follow actresses as they learn everything about action stunts. After the stars acquire sufficient skills through the variety show, KBS2TV is planning to produce a movie featuring the six actresses.
Meanwhile, some have been criticizing KBS2TV for copying the concept of MBC’s physically demanding “Real Men” and its popular “Female Soldier Special.” The channel previously launched its own parenting variety show “Superman Returns” after witnessing the success of MBC’s “Dad! Where Are We Going?” which made viewers question the originality of KBS2TV’s program ideas.
The first episode of “Lady Action” is set to air on April 29 at 11 p.m.
