It has been reported that actress Moon Geun Young is currently in talks to make her return to the small screen through SBS’ upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama titled “Chaebol’s Daughter” (tentative English title).
On April 7, a representative of the actress’s agency revealed to OSEN, “It is true that [Moon Geun Young] received a casting offer for [‘Chaebol’s Daughter’]. However, she is still in the beginning stages of reviewing it.”
The drama follows the story of a woman who is seeking for a man who can love her even if she wasn’t a chaebol’s daughter, as well as a man who comes from a poor family and believes that love is like a carrot that upper class people use to dangle in front of lower class people as a means of controlling them.
If Moon Geun Young accepts the casting offer, she will be taking on the role of Jang Yoon Ha, the youngest daughter of a chaebol (very wealthy) family and part-time worker at a department store. Actor Park Seo Joon is in talks to star in the drama as the male lead.
It will be her first comeback to dramas in about two years since “Goddess of Fire, Jung Yi” in 2013.
Meanwhile, “Chaebol’s Daughter” is expected to begin airing this coming June following the end of “Heard It Through the Grapevine.”
