GOT7 is proving their popularity in China with their recent sweep at various awards ceremonies in China.
First, the idol group won the “Asia Style Best Influence Group” award from “Fashion Power” on April 10. Fashion Power was established in 1993 and publishes famous fashion magazines including Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar.
The next day, the group won “Best Korean Newcomer” at the “2015 YinYue V-Chart.” YinYue V-Chart is one of the largest music sites in China and many top celebrities attended their awards ceremony. In particular, Jackson received praise for being well-mannered when he covered the MC’s head in order to shield him from rain when they were on the red carpet.
On April 13, the members continued to win with “Most Promising Newcomer Award – Overseas Category” at the “15th Top Chinese Music Festival.” JB and BamBam showed off their Chinese skills when they expressed their thanks, much to the delight of their fans. They shared, “We thank the Chinese media and fans for your interest and love as we receive this precious award. We sincerely thank you and will repay you through better music and performances in the future.”
GOT7 had showcases in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in 2015. They also had their first fanmeeting in Thailand with tickets selling out within five minutes.
