On June 8, Lee Min Ho‘s agency Starhaus Entertainment confirmed that the actor has been cast in the upcoming film “Bounty Hunters” (working title).
The blockbuster will be directed by Korean director Shin Tae Ra, who is best known for his 2009 film “My Girlfriend Is an Agent.” It will be co-produced by production companies from Korea, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and has a budget of 35 billion won (approx. $31 million USD).
Lee Min Ho will be playing a brilliant bounty hunter who is incredibly skilled at martial arts, while also charmingly eccentric and cute. The film is said to be about the hunt for a hotel bomber, and it’s promised to include comedy, action, and drama. “Bounty Hunters” will be filmed in many locations across Asia, including Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
The film is also expected to star a top actress from China. Filming will be starting in August of this year, and the movie will come out in 2016.
According to reports, Lee Min Ho is also currently considering appearing in dramas in Korea.
