Mnet‘s female rapper competition “Unpretty Rapstar” will be back with a second season airing at the beginning of September!
According to insiders, season two of “Unpretty Rapstar” began scouting for contestants around the same time that “Show Me the Money 4” went on air, and the show has nailed down most of the contestants so far. Filming will begin August, and the show is slated to premiere after “Show Me the Money 4” finishes its run.
As for changes, “Unpretty Rapstar” has been extended by two episodes for a total of ten episodes for the second season. The format and structure of the show will more or less stay the same, including the unpredictable elimination system from season one.
Meanwhile, the first season of “Unpretty Rapstar” gained massive amounts of interest when it aired, topping out at an impressive 1.42 percent viewership rating according to the Nielsen cable standard.
