FIESTAR’s maknae Yezi is currently a contestant on Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar 2,” and no matter the final result, she is shaping up to benefit hugely from the show.
At the beginning of the season, she was judged as a “four-dimensional” rapper and had trouble adjusting. It wasn’t until the September 25 broadcast that she proved her talent with “Crazy Dog” and became a contender to watch out for.
Her popularity has even won her some offers from the advertising world. A representative from Yezi’s agency, Loen Tree, says, “She has received an offer for a cell phone commercial that only top stars get to film. We had to refuse for various reasons but we are happy that advertisers are seeing Yezi’s potential.”
The agency also reveals that Yezi’s sudden popularity may have secured her a solo debut before the end of the year. “We don’t know yet what form her solo debut will take,” the representative says. “We hope to show more of her talent and leave a lasting impression on people.”
They also go on to say that if Yezi has a solo debut this year, FIESTAR will likely come back with a new song next year.
The girl group debuted with “VISTA” in 2012. Last March, they released their album “Black Label” and promoted title track “You’re Pitiful.”
