Leessang‘s Gil is set to release his first-ever solo album this month.
On November 12, the singer announced his plans to resume music activities by dropping a teaser photo for his upcoming release. This came as a surprise to many, as Gil has been on a relatively strict hiatus since his DUI incident in April 2014.
The album entitled “Blow, Wind” is set to drop on November 25, and it will mark Gil’s first solo release since entering the music industry in 1999.
Leessang Company clarified that fans won’t be able to see Gil promote the album on TV. “The release will be a mini album, and he will not promote the album on music shows. After dropping the album, he will focus on preparing for Leessang’s concert,” a representative commented to local media outlet Newsen.
Meanwhile, the anticipation is high for Gil’s first solo release, especially as his fellow member Gary‘s latest solo album “2002” turned out to be a huge commercial success. The duo is also set to reunite for two concerts on December 30 and 31.
