Hold on while I wipe the drool off my keyboard.
Korean firefighters are taking off their helmets and coat and baring some skin for charity. The city of Seoul, South Korea annouced today, November 13 KST, that it will soon be releasing its “2016 Firefighter Calendar” featuring 14 firemen who participated in its “4th Momjjang Firefighter Contest.” Momjjang stands for “best body” in Korean. All proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be used to fund treatment for low-income burn victims.
Last year, which was the first year a calendar of this kind was produced, only 1,000 copies were initally produced, but due to high demand, 1,500 more were printed. The burn victims who were selected to be supported last year are still receiving medicine supplied through the proceeds. This year, the goal is to sell 10,000 copies.
Each copy of the calendar costs 10,000 won (approximately $8.60) and can be bought online through the GS Shop or offline at the Seoul Gwanghwamun Plaza on November 16.
It is said that these firefighters used their national holiday off in June to be photographed for this charitable calendar. Not only are they sizzling on the outside, but they are also super warm on the inside!
