TWICE may be new to the music field, their celebrity status has already been proven through the sheer number of advertisements they are modeling.
Though it has only been about 40 days since their debut, the group has already signed endorsement contracts with 10 different companies.
“TWICE has just signed contracts with 10 different companies, including ones sectioned for top stars such as telecommunications and makeup,” a representative from their managing agency JYP Entertainment said. “Even better news is that calls from other companies keep on coming. Though we have released several groups over the years, we’ve never had a group that has signed these many contracts in such a short period of time.”
The group is also being paid amounts that are well above the average pay for other newly debuted artists.
TWICE has already earned 1.8 billion won (approximately $1.5 million) through their 10 endorsements, which means that they have received an average of 18 million won (approximately $155,000) each (not including other costs).
It is also notable that most of the businesses the group is modeling for are very popular and trendy.
While TWICE’s success had already been expected even before their debut because of their large album sale profits and high music video view counts, fans are eager to see how the new group will further grow.
