Beloved ballad singer Kim Yeon Woo was forced to cancel his latest concert halfway through after struggling to hit high notes.
The artist was scheduled to hold a solo concert in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province on December 12, but right after the opening stage, he told the audience that he is unable to continue due to vocal problems.
“There’s nothing wrong with my vocal cords, but I simply can’t hit the high notes. I don’t think I’ll be able to continue,” the singer reportedly said to his fans and asked for their understanding.
Feeling apologetic over the situation, Kim Yeon Woo even shed some tears on stage while making the cancellation announcement. Afterwards, he personally went to the lobby of the concert venue to sign autographs and take photos with his fans, showing his appreciation for their support.
All of the tickets to the Cheonan concert will be refunded.
Meanwhile, Kim Yeon Woo is expected to perform in Suwon on December 18, but it is now uncertain if he will be able to proceed with the tour.
