CNBLUE‘s Jung Yong Hwa has taken home a top prize from the eighth annual awards show hosted by Chinese Elle magazine!
The “2015 Elle Style Awards” were held in Shanghai on December 18, and Jung Yong Hwa was awarded the “Voice of Elle” prize, recognizing him as the top international singer of the year.
Jung Yong Hwa was the only Korean star to attend the show that night, and his category was the only one related to music. The “Voice of Elle” award winner is chosen based on elements such as the artist’s musicality and their cultural influence, regardless of their nationality.
While accepting his award, Jung Yong Hwa said in Chinese, “I am so touched. Thank you to Elle, and to all of my fans. I was so happy this year, thanks to all of you.”
Jung Yong Hwa performed the song “The Moon Represents My Heart” by Teresa Teng with Lu Yao at the ceremony, as well as his hit song “One Fine Day.”
Elle has shared some shots of Jung Yong Hwa in the audience at the award show sitting next to actress Cecilia Cheung, who also took home an award that night.
Jung Yong Hwa also uploaded some photos of his exciting night to his Instagram.
Congratulations, Jung Yong Hwa!
