It’s weird to think about Go Ara as anything other than an actress, but originally her dream was to be an announcer!
Go Ara appeared on the December 24 broadcast of JTBC‘s “Newsroom” alongside veteran anchor Son Seok Hee, and confessed her original dream during an interview on air, telling the story of how she was chosen by her agency SM Entertainment.
“I’m usually pretty energetic and I used to do cheerleading,” said Go Ara. “So I went to SM to help a friend as a back dancer. The odds of being chosen by SM are 8,000 to one, but somehow that day I got chosen.”
On her dream of becoming an announcer, Son Seok Hee joked, “When JTBC is hiring again, it’d be great if you could help me as an announcer.”
Meanwhile, Go Ara’s newest film “Joseon Magician” will hit theatres on December 30.
