Kim Hyun Joong’s Paternity Lawsuit Trial Date Set

According to the courts, the trial date for the paternity case against the actor Kim Hyun Joong has been set to begin on February 26. The lawsuit was filed by the mother of Kim Hyun Joong’s ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi.

This is the first time both parties will face each other since the paternity test results have been revealed.

Previously, Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi had gone under a DNA test to determine the paternity of the baby Ms. Choi gave birth to. The test result revealed that Kim Hyun Joong is 99.9 percent likely to be the father of the child. Based on this result, alimony, guardianship, child support and other issues will be hotly debated in court.

Kim Hyun Joong and Ms. Choi are continuing their civil and criminal legal battles. Ms. Choi claims she was pregnant but miscarried due to Kim Hyun Joong’s physical abuse. She sued Kim Hyun Joong for 1.6 billion won (approximately $13 million) in damages. Consequently, Kim Hyun Joong filed a countersuit for 1.2 billion won (approximately $10.5 million) for slander.

Kim Hyun Joong is currently fulfilling his military duty and has been in service since May 12 of last year.
