On February 2 broadcast of tvN’s talk show “Taxi,” actors Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Dong Hwi from “Reply 1988” appeared to wrap up the second part of the show.

Ryu Jun Yeol said, “My parents were very concerned about my future. But they told me to do what I wanted to do. That I should take care of myself.” He continued, “My life was full of part-time jobs. Pizza delivery, day laborer, serving, and after school tutoring. I received scholarships in college. I had to survive.”

Lee Dong Hwi chimed in and said, “Ryu Jun Yeol is a very hard worker. He works really hard.”

Ryu Jun Yeol also went on to say, “I actually wanted to become a teacher. I love students and I had good teachers myself. But it wasn’t meant to be my work.”

On this day, Ryu Jun Yeol’s agency announced that his first fan meeting that’s scheduled to happen on April 2 at Yonsei University Culture and Art Center sold out 1500 seats two minutes after the ticket sales began.
