Former LEDapple member Hanbyul has joined a new agency, The Groove Entertainment, in order to prepare for his solo album.
Since his departure from the rock band in 2014, Hanbyul has participated in the OST for KBS’s “Sassy Go Go” and SBS’s “Remember” and gained a reputation as an excellent vocalist. In particular, his OST for “Remember,” titled “Winter Wind” rose to No. 7 on the Chinese music site QQ.
Hanbyul is also slated to appear in a Chinese drama and plans to meet his Chinese fans in a collaboration concert/showcase with famous Chinese artists in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing.
A representative from The Groove Entertainment said, “We want to show domestic and international fans a better image [of our artist] through various projects in both Korea and abroad. Starting in May, he will holding a Japanese tour in seven cities including Osaka, Sapporo, and Nagoya. We hope to show everyone a more mature image in his comeback after a long hiatus.”
Hanbyul most recently took part in JTBC’s variety program “Code: Secret Room” on February 26.
