Jang Geun Suk is becoming known for his frequent acts of kindness for those in need.
On February 21, Jang Geun Suk joined forces with designer bag company L’inoui to hold an auction. He donated over 200 of his own personal items in the auction and interacted joyfully with the fans who waited in line from the night before in order to participate in the auction.
Together with L’inoui, Jang Geun Suk donated 50 million won (or approximately $41,379) to the Miral Welfare Foundation. It was revealed that with his contribution, they were able to pay for 10 disabled children to receive surgeries and rehabilitation.
Alhough he is currently busy with his drama filming, Jang Geuk Suk visited the foundation to give them his donation. He said, “Because I wanted everyone to be able to joyfully participate in it together, I worked and planned hard to that we can have a good auction. It was a meaningful time because many people came together and gave of what was previous to them. I am happy that we can provide a better life for those children who need help.”
Jang Geun Suk will be starring in the new Monday-Tuesday drama called “Daebak” by SBS, which is about the forgotten son of a king in the Joseon era. The drama will broadcast its first episode on March 28.
