Korean rock band Nell is parting ways with their longtime agency Woollim Entertainment to set up their own independent label.
On March 22, Woollim Entertainment announced, “Nell and Woollim Entertainment have been close for the past 10 years, but after long consideration, we have chosen to say farewell in the name of the future development of both sides.”
“Although we will no longer be managing the group, we have promised to continue to support each other on our separate paths, and to maintain our close relationship,” the agency states. “We will also continue to pay attention to and support Nell’s projects in the future.”
The members of Nell have stated in turn that they while they are parting ways with Woollim, they are happy to have been able to create beautiful memories with the agency, as well as achieve such success together.
It is reported that Nell is now forming their own independent label entitled Space Bohemian, through which they’re planning to put out a new album in the first half of this year. This will be their first full album since their release of the critically acclaimed “Newton’s Apple” in 2014.
