Tickets To Song Joong Ki’s Chinese Fan Meeting Illegally Sold At Inflated Prices

Shortly following reports that tickets to watch Song Joong Ki in a Chinese variety show were illegally sold at high prices, it has been discovered that tickets for his Chinese fan meetings have also been going on sale illegally.

Tickets for the Beijing fan meeting on May 14 were being sold for as high as 6800 yuan (approximately $1040), despite the normal price being only 1080 yuan (approximately $165), with illegal ticket sellers exploiting the actor’s trending status in China. Tickets were also sold at at inflated prices for a conference on May 13, preceding the fan meeting. For the morning conference, tickets were sold at 1500 yuan (approximately $229) and for the afternoon conference, ticket resellers were quoting 800 yuan (approximately $122).

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki held his fan meeting in Beijing on May 14 to great success. He prepared various performances for his Chinese fans, and even showed off his Chinese singing skills with the song “Long Time No See,” touching the hearts of the audience members.

Song Joong Ki will continue his tour of China in Wuhan on May 21.
