After announcing the brand reputations for girl groups, the Korean Business Research Institute also released the results for the boy groups. Analyzing data that was taken from September 7 to October 8, the research institute found that boy group EXO was first based on factors such as a social participation index, a traffic condition index, and a reputation index.
EXO was first with the highest brand reputation in October, with second place going to BTS and Sechs Kies placing third. Following Sechs Kies were boy groups INFINITE, SEVENTEEN, SHINee, BtoB, VIXX, BIGBANG, 2PM, Block B, BEAST, B1A4, MONSTA X, WINNER, Super Junior, B.A.P, Shinhwa, TVXQ, 2AM, Teen Top, FTISLAND, ZE:A, and JYJ.
In response to the results, a source from the research institute commented, “EXO placed first for the October boy group brand reputations. This is the second time in a row for EXO to receive first. With the recent ‘Dancing King’ collaboration with Yoo Jae Suk, the group has not only received lots of interest from consumers, but from the media as well.”
