On January 18, project girl group I.O.I dropped last single together, at least for the time being. Titled “Downpour,” the sad ballad was personally chosen by the members as their final release, in the hopes that their fans can reminisce while listening to this “present.”
Like the sun shining after a downpour of rain that quickly comes and goes, the lyrics talk about how while it may seem sad right now, there is a glimmering hope that they will reunite again in the future. SEVENTEEN’s Woozi both produced the track and penned these meaningful lyrics.
The music video highlights the girls’ memories together, starting from their “Produce 101” days. It takes a look at all their hard work, both happy and sad moments, and everything in between.
Meanwhile, I.O.I will officially disband after their concerts on January 20-22,where they will also perform “Downpour.”
