Jung Kyung Ho has returned to the drama scene for the first time in a year with his role in the new MBC drama “Missing 9.” The actor took time to talk with Allure magazine about a variety of topics, including his longterm girlfriend Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation!
“Missing 9” marks the first Korean drama to deal with a plane crash on a deserted island. Jung Kyung Ho plays a celebrity who was once a top star but has fallen off the radar. As the actor talked about his role, he said, “Before we started filming, I talked with the director and writer a lot. I told them that during serious scenes, my acting will still be humorous.” He then described “Missing 9” as a show that contains elements of mystery, humor, and the fierce nature of survival.
When asked what he would take to a deserted island, he answered, “The world’s thickest jacket, strongest alcohol, and the biggest book.” He gave very logical reasons for those specific items, saying, “I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep at night. I’m going to have to get drunk and go to sleep.”
The topic of his five-year relationship with Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung also came up. When asked about the secret to its longevity, he thoughtfully answered, “Without the feeling of love, you can’t maintain a relationship for very long.”
